'Good health and wellbeing for everyone'

The Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Partnership Assembly has brought together representatives of the NHS, Local authorities, place partnerships, West Mercia Police, The police and crime commissioner, Hereford and Worcester Fire Service, University of Worcester, Care providers, Carers, Voluntary and community enterprise sector (VCSE), sector representatives for general practice, dental and pharmacy services, housing providers and education.

Through the autumn of 2022 we have engaged with partners to understand their views on the opportunities and areas of focus for working together to address the needs of local people, as described in the Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs) and the Joint Local Health and Wellbeing Strategies (please see the links to the right).

On 14 December 2022 the Integrated Care Partnership Assembly met to receive the initial engagement findings, including a thematic review of existing engagement with people who live and work in Herefordshire and Worcestershire and feedback from partners, both of which have been used to develop the draft integrated care strategy.

The Integrated Care Strategy (Easy Read version), includes a vision, mission and eight commitments describe what we want for local people, and how we are going to work together to take action and build on existing strategies and plans that enable improvement in health and healthcare outcomes for all.

A survey to gather feedback on the draft strategy across a wide range of people and organisations who live, work or operate within Herefordshire and Worcestershire was undertaken from 6 February to 17 March 2023. You can access the summary engagement report here. Thanks to all those who took part, and a final version of the strategy will be published in May 2023.
