NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) and NHS Coventry and Warwickshire ICB have appointed a Joint Chair to lead a new ICB cluster across both systems.

From 1 October 2025 Crishni Waring, currently Chair of NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICB, will also become Chair of NHS Coventry and Warwickshire ICB. Crishni will lead the new ICB cluster covering nearly two million people, working with partners to plan, commission and deliver NHS services across both areas.

It’s important to stress that this is not a merger of the two ICBs. Each remains a statutory organisation with its own responsibilities and local accountability. The cluster arrangement is about sharing senior leadership to deliver required savings and strengthen strategic working, without reducing the attention given to local services and priorities in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

The process to confirm the Chief Executive for the cluster is ongoing, and confirmation on this, along with information on the cluster’s priorities and governance arrangements will be announced in the coming weeks.
