Cancer Campaigns

Cervical Screening Awareness- January 2026

Cervical Cancer is one of the most preventable cancers. Despite this, NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire has reported a decline in those who attend preventative screenings, with women in their 20s and 30s least likely to book an appointment. That’s why Doctors across the two counties are urging those eligible to book their cervical screening, which can help stop cancer before it starts.

Campaign overview: This is an ongoing campaign encouraging people to attend their cervical screenings. Around 1 in 3 women doing go to their appointments, so the campaign's aim is to increase uptake, by letting people know who is eligible, how appointmenst work, and elliviate concerns about the process.
Below are downloadable assets. They include social media statics and two short video clips from Dr Louise Bramble (Chaddesley Corbet Surgery and Women's Health Lead at NHS HW ICB) delivering the key messages.

Cancer Barriers

Below are a range of social media assets from the Cancer Barriers Campaign- an ongoing programme urging people to seek medical advice if 'something doesn't seem right'. The premise is that people know their own bodies, so they shouldn't carry the worry of cancer with them.
