The NHS App
Campaign overview: The NHS App is a quick, easy and convenient way for people to manage the their primary care needs. Over 34 million people have registered for the NHS App and usage is increasing significantly. From the App you can:
- order repeat prescriptions
- find NHS services
- view your GP health record
- get reminders and messages
New features are regularly being added, with some patients now able to view and manage their hospital referrals and appointments in the NHS App.
The aim of the campaign is to increase use of the NHS App in order to reduce phone queues and streamline processes, allowing staff to carry out other important work in practices.
The NHS App toolkit is available for practices containing various promotional materials, including a poster and leaflets which are easy to download and print to promote the NHS App. There are also images for use on display screens, social media and practice websites, as well as example SMS, social media and email message templates to help promote the NHS App to patients. There is also an NHS App promotional video with subtitles, which can be used on practice TV screens.
